I’ve had insomnia for about a while now and mom still doesn’t think i have any sleeping problems so she has refused 2 take me to the doctors. What can i do about my insomnia ? And why do people get it ? what age does insomnia start at? And is there anything to make it go away?
If you drink coffee or soda pop, make sure you stop by Noon, as that is one reason people get insomnia. I’ve had it ona nd off myself from my early teens, so there isn’t any set age where it starts. See a doctor for sleeping pills like Ambien if it continues.

Anxiety. Whiskey and masturbation will make you forget all about it.

Insomnia is usually caused by anxiety. If you are worried about things, even subconsciously, you may have a hard time falling asleep. You may even wake up and have a hard time going back to sleep.
Insomnia can start at any age. However, teenagers, while they require more sleep than adults or preteens, often have a sleep clock that is pushed a little bit forward. They have a hard time falling asleep, and then want to sleep for a long time in the morning. This is very common.
Try Googling "tips for falling asleep". You can find lists of things to do to help you fall asleep.
If behavioral methods don’t work a very good over the counter aid is Melatonin. Take some about an hour before you want to go to sleep. Don’t use it all of the time. Only use it every once in a while when you want your sleep clock reset.
If you are still having a problem, then talking with a doctor or psychologist may be in order. I would try a sleep clinic doctor or a psychologist first.

There are many things that can cause insomnia such as anxiety, stress, depression, hormonal changes, medical conditions (asthma, Parkinson’s disease, heart disease, dysautonomia, high blood pressure, hyperthyroidism, etc), sleep disorders like sleep apnea, and overuse of caffeine and/or alcohol.
You can get insomnia at any age and you can treat it by treating the thing that caused it and/or by taking sleep aids (Over-the-counter: Diphenhydramine, Melatonin)
I think you should go to the doctor though!

Try meditation. Clear your head and focus on a word or place. I don’t sleep either so I meditate on a prayer. My suggestion is to get up in the middle of the night so your parents hear you. When they ask why your up tell them . When they realize your really not sleeping you’ll get your doctors visit.

As I known, the fear for insomnia, is the most fact to cause insomnia. But, there are some other diseases which will be the facts to cause insomnia.
Research found that to some of insomnia patients, a number of diseases are also the main reason leading to insomnia. Among them, common diseases are cervical spondylosis, hypertension, heart disease, cerebral infarction and so on.
Insomnia treatment for such patients, only attention to the treatment of diseases leading to insomnia, can have a demonstrable effect on the treatment of insomnia.
As a result of drug-induced insomnia, mostly caused due to long-term use of some medicine, such as long service hypertensive patients blood pressure drugs, heart disease patients in long-term service vasodilator drugs, these drugs often cause side effects on insomnia.
Insomnia patients for such treatment, require appropriate adjustments to medication to help patients choose a number of both treatment of existing disease, but also will not lead to insomnia.
For some patients suffering from insomnia dependence on sleeping pills, sleeping pills can only be temporary taking affect on going into sleep. But, if it informs a dependence on these sleeping pills, it is easy to fall into a vicious circle, and when the insomnia patients do have sleeping pills before going to bed, then they will not be easy to sleep.
Insomnia treatment for such patients is that it should still take medication to help sleep, but meanwile decreasing the amount of sleeping pills, in order to ultimately reduce or stop taking sleeping pills and restore normal sleep.
