You should consider the addictive and long term consequences of prescription meds and weigh them with natural sources.

I had problems falling asleep, and was precscribed medication, and then I had heard about Stemulite, which is all natural health supplement. There is a daytime and nighttime formula that is a binary formula to help maximize the benefits.

In the nighttime formula, is an all natural ingredient by the name of melatonin, which helps you fall asleep deeply. This enables REM sleep, where a person can wake up feeling refreshed and ready to take on a new day.

I decided to just take straight melatonin, and it never worked as well as the Stemulite did, and that is in part of the manufacturing of Stemulite, which was made by a doctor.

otc–over the counter- meds are cheaper so often the world thinks you are not smart enough to figure what works for you. Marketing is always to make money not usually to take care of you. Tylenol used to relax me and I’d sleep like a baby. Now, as a senior citizen with waning harmones, tylenol does not work so well by itself but my doctor told me to take two tylenol PM’s and it works. I alternate motrin PM because I don’t like to take any drug long term as it does so many other things in your body. Tylenol is cleared from your system mostly by the liver so potentially can be toxic to the liver if you takes lots like maybe someone with arthritis. Motrin or any of the antiflammatories is cleared by the kidneys so long term use may damage your kidneys. A nephrologist, kidney specialist, I know said he’d never run out of patients as long as doctors especially orthopedics, bone doctors, give high dose antiinflammatories long term. Usually just for headaches and/or sleeping is not much risk of toxic levels in your body.
A glass of milk contains something that makes you sleepy… cutting an onion and storing in a glass jar in the fridge so you can take a whif when you can’t sleep is supposed to work. I haven’t gotten that desperate yet.
Chamomile tea works. Add a little honey.
My doctor is reluctant to give me prescription sleeping pills as all are potentially addictive she says.
I hate taking anything but when you’re up at three AM stacking plastic bowls in the kitchen cabinet you know the next day is going to be a drag. Heart disease is more prevelent in insomniacs as well. Healthy sleep is important for good health.
