rinke asked:

I had insomnia problems when I was doing cardio exercises in the evening after work.Found in the internet that cardio in the evening might have caused it.So I took the exercise to early morning and now having good sleep. I am planning to do yoga in the evening, after meal, before going to bed. Is this advisable and does it cause insomnia?
Thanks!

No, yoga in the evening, and don’t forget to finish with meditation, is perfect for getting to sleep. The meditation part is essential for relaxation and ridding your mind of thoughts.

    Create a video blog

If you are attending an evening yoga class, your yogi will have you doing a lot of relaxing poses that will have you sleeping well. If you are doing a video at home, hopefully they have an a.m. and p.m. routine. The videos I have seen have this. The morning session will be more energizing and balancing, where the evening session will be balancing and relaxing. Also check out this link from yoga journal online. I searched poses for insomnia and these are the ten that came up. Oh yeah, wait an hour or so after eating a light meal, so food has time to go down, yoga usually involves a lot of inverted poses (head below heart & stomach). I find it better to eat after yoga routine. Sooooooo satisfying, and eat some healthy whole foods. Good luck.
