Me too-thats why I am up at 3 a.m. on yahoo answers!…I will go to sleep around 8 a.m. and get up around 11 a.m.-if I am awoken-other wise its when kids come home from school…I do not produce the sleep chemical!…I am on natural sleep meds-hmm… time to change again-not working for me….Try a hot bath and a warm beverage-no caffeine after a couple cups in the morning!…I fall asleep to the tv as well and will wake right up if turned off!…Good luck

Yeah….last few days I’ve been sleeping for 13 hours and am barely able to wake up…and right now I haven’t been to sleep yet and it’s 6:13 in the morning. So I feel you lol. I’m sure it’s some sort of insomnia….sometimes it helps if you set a routine (which I haven’t been doing) before bed. About 1 hr before bed, you need to do things to wind down. Take a hot shower/bath, read or watch tv, don’t eat for at least 2 hrs before bed and don’t have anything with sugar or caffeine. For 20-30 mins before bed, go lie down and listen to calming music and close your eyes. This helps me….but like I said, since I don’t really have a routine right now, I’m not sleeping very well (or sometimes, I sleep too well lol). Good luck!

I have irregular sleeping patterns too due to my job. I’ll usually be extremely awake when I finish night shift (7am). I’ll then bathe nicely and find a comfortable position to sleep in my bed (which usually toss n turn for about 1/2 to 1 hr). When it is time to wake up, I’ll feel tired and sleepy n can continue to sleep till night comes.
To ensure good sleep, get more activities done before sleep (so u’ll be tired). Set alarm to 8 or 9 hours and force yourself to wake up. After waking up for about 15min++, you’ll feel refreshed and alert. Don’t over-sleep coz it’ll coz more bodyache and mind gets tired. Sufficient hours r enough.
Well, that’s what I usually do.

There are three different types of insomnia, each with their own type of treatments.
Make sure you know which one you have, before you waste your money!

Hi!!!
I understand the situation completely… I have been to several sleep clinics and specialists… it’s a very long story… if you would like, you can go to a blog spot called and see if my post, as well as any others that are there, may be of some help..
