I wish I had Insomia, I fall asleep at like 9PM and wake up at Noon. Try sleeping pills, or try working out like play a sport before you go to bed or run…puts you right to sleep.

Recognize your own body clock (ie-when U normally get tired) and do NOT ignore it, even if it SEEMS too early. Do NOT take melatonin (a natural hormone that your brain makes 2 help U sleep). To encourage your brain 2 make it= lie prone, in the dark & quiet.

Medical problems really should be addressed to a physician. When I was in school, I used to worry about getting enough rest to do well on exams the following day. I couldn’t get to sleep. Then, in my senior year, I stopped worrying about doing well on exams, and my insomnia was cured! Stress and other issues can effect your sleep adversely.

    Sweet dreams!

You have probably just got into the routine of going to bed that late, it happened to me last summer, I would stay up then at about 2/3am I would get bored and go on my laptop then that would be it and I wouldnt sleep all night…Try to have less distractions ie mobile phone, computer, tv in your bedroom and so you dont get distracted at night,
Try to have a warm bath before you go to bed…it really helps and is so relaxing, a time where you can let your body wind down and prepare for going to sleep
Also try not to eat anything late at night as that will increase your blood sugar levels and make you feel more awake
Attempt to go to sleep at the same time every night and even if you dont have anything planned for the next day (weekends) still got to bed at a resonable time and wake up around the same time, this way your body will get more used to a more regulated routine
You should try to make the most of your day, and try to exercise even if its just going out for a walk, the fresh air and seeing new sights will make you feel more tired and going to sleep so much more rewarding.

Finally dont stress that you arent sleeping, try to relax and de-stress before sleeping to make you drift off to the land of nod alot more easily :)
Good Luck I know how frustrating it is when you want to sleep but just can’t.

Insomnia can have many causes, including medical, but the most common is an over-active mind. Worry, stress and anger are just some of the emotions that will keep us from falling asleep easily and naturally. This webpage has some great advice and information on insomnia - I tried the ginger oil remedy and it worked! Good luck!
