It’s classified by the patient claiming to have insomnia, but in reality, the patient is getting to sleep at night but having vivid dreams of being awake. I remember learning about it in a psych class, but I can’t remember the name of it. Could someone help me out?

    They are not getting deep, restorative sleep. It doesn’t matter how long you sleep, it’s what kind of brain waves occur. I developed insomnia when I was 16 in college. I am now 57. My sleep disorder story is at. A list of things I’ve tried for sleep is at. Things I use currently are at - I am thankful that I am now able to get more refreshing sleep, even if it is with the help of meds and supplements. It is awful to not be able to sleep, or to sleep so lightly that you think you are awake all night. Very bad for your health. The immune system eventually breaks down.

    Insomnia is the failure to get enough quality sleep. In its simplest form insomnia can be defined as difficulty in falling asleep, staying asleep or waking after too short a period of sleep.
