Anyone who has experienced this desire
knows that not even hunger and thirst are comparable with it.

..In the head of the interrogated prisoner,
a haze begins to form.
His spirit is wearied to death,
his legs are unsteady,
and he has one sole desire:

to sleep.

Overall, symptoms and the degree of their severity affect each individual differently depending on their mental health, physical condition, and attitude or personality. Insomnia can be common after the loss of a loved one, even years or decades after the death, if they have not gone through the grieving process.

The ability to sleep for long periods, rather than the need for sleep, appears to be lost as people get older. A common misconception is that the amount of sleep required decreases as a person ages.

This was a Mockumentary about the life of a hobo. Project Insomnia was a contest where a short film had to be entirely made (written, directed, acted, edited, produced, composed and what have you) in a 24 hour window (8am - 8am). Everything in here is original content. The piece was beautifully scored by the talented Martice N. III. Other than the first scene which used Garageband, the rest of the film was composed by him on the keyboard. I played the character, “The Hobo.” It was edited by Craig B. as well as Seth T. doing the narration. More credits are shown at the end of the film, but due to some undisclosed matters only their last initials are shown in this info bar. At the end, in the credits it says, “Elements Used.” Those were the mandatory specifics that had to be in the film in order for qualification. This allowed for fun and creative scenes. It was shot with a non-professional standard quality handycam. Enjoy! Comments are always welcome.

Professor Irving Kirsch, author of The Emperor’s New Drugs, discussed his research into the efficacy of antidepressant medication. Kirsch argued that,

contrary to popular belief, depression is not caused by a chemical imbalance in the brain and treating the condition with antidepressant drugs is no more

effective than placebos.

Kirsch analyzed data from numerous clinical studies on antidepressants and said he was surprised to discover that “75 percent of the response to the drugs

appears to be a placebo effect.” According to Kirsch, patients improved mostly because they believed they were taking a medication that would help them with

depression. He went so far as to say that the figure could be as high as 82 percent, with the remaining ‘drug difference’ accounted for by enhanced placebo

effect.

Kirsch stressed that lack of serotonin cannot be the physical cause of depression. As proof, he pointed to a new French antidepressant that works as a

selective serotonin reuptake enhancer (SSRE). This drug decreases serotonin levels — exactly the opposite of how popular SSRI (selective serotonin reuptake

inhibitor) medication functions. Kirsch said studies show about 60 percent of patients get better regardless of whether they are on antidepressants that

increase, reduce, or do nothing to their serotonin levels. This is a clear evidence to Kirsch that these drugs actually do nothing.

And not only are antidepressants an ineffective pharmaceutical treatment for depression, Kirsch pointed out that they come with a host of negative side

effects, including insomnia, sexual dysfunction, and increased risk of suicide in children and young adults. Kirsch suggested alternative treatments for

depression, such as physical exercise (shown clinically to help people get better) and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), which boasts effectiveness

comparable to antidepressants. Patients treated with CBT are less likely to relapse, he added. Kirsch also advised people currently taking depression

medication to continue if it was working for them.

Screw youtubes new size, my computer wouldn’t take it.

Okay, so im really sorry for not uploading things lately, i’v actually been using my life.
I’m writing a story, which I plan to actually get published in a few years. I’m not some dumb kid who doesn’t know how to write or spell, I get how it works. I think I might actually have a shot.
But yeah. And my family has been visiting, had to deal with them. They left this morning. Hence why this is finally done.

I don’t know if I acutally like this MMV at all. I did cut it short because the rest of the song was instramental for about a minute then
“I…N…S…O…M…N…I…A… Can’t sleep~” about 4 more times then song over. wasnt doing that. So this is what you got. I hope you enjoy, this did take alot of time, and it was kind of fun to make, the funnest video to make so far anywase.

And I was thinking how I never made a MMV with my charter in it, welll, hello Hannah/Esmee’s charter. Didn’t see ya there.

And this mmv is partially dedicated to Emily.

Take that Jake.

Thanks to Sheena for keeping my company while making this.
And my northerndownpour friend steph for being awsome.

I don’t own any video, music, pictures, and i dont own nexon or maplestory or the veronicas.

Song: Insomnia
Album: Young Modern (2007)

Lyrics:

Tomorrow will be another part of yesterday
And yesterday will be another part of the day before

Wait, I hear another song insomnia
About the days I wasn’t tired
And doing that “fun retro look”

I stay awake for days
I stay awake for days
But I’d sit awake in daze anyway
I’m a maze of chains

Hey don’t use the term accommodation
I won’t be there for that and that will never be there for me

And I need to get some sleep slash resolution
About the days I wasn’t tired
And doing that “fun retro thing”

I stay awake for days
I stay awake for days
But I’d sit awake in daze anyway
I’m a maze of chains

Over in the corner of a circle
I sleep behind this bedroom
I see “fun retro look”
Dine behind a suitcase in an empty room
It’s time to leave millions behind
Hey that’s what I took from retro look

I stay awake for days
I stay awake for days
But I’d sit awake in daze anyway
I’m a maze of chains
