zolpidem and the other z drugs (ambien, lunesta, sonata) i dont like these they are addicting and cause wierd things like bizzare behavior, memory impairment. However in some cases its ok as an alternative to traditional benzos or major tranquilizers. The antidote (flumazenil) is the same for valium, hence they are similar
