Lavender essential oil! I work in the spa field and when I use lavender on a client I can hardly stay awake. Its one of the few essential oils you can put directly on the skin without diluting it. It absorbs in the skin and into the bloodstream relaxing you for 24 hours or so. The smell also make you sleepy!

Well, white noise always works for me…

Having something innocuous playing in the background can help put people to sleep or drown out other noises keeping them up.

There are also certain teas that act as mild sedatives.

Tryptophan containing food may be a natural sleep remedy. Many people found tryptophan to be a safe and reasonably effective sleep aid, probably due to its ability to increase brain levels of serotonin.

Serotonin (a neurotransmitter), synthesized via tryptophan hydroxylase. Serotonin, in turn, can be converted to melatonin (a neurohormone), via N-acetyltransferase and 5-hydroxyindole-O-methyltransferase activities. Milk is one of the rich source of tryptophan.

Drinking a glass of warm milk before sleep may enhance sleep, exercise 4 hours prior to sleep is also good

Meditation serves as a good treatment for insomnia. Meditate for abut 15 minutes before going to bed. It has been observed that majority of sleep problems are due to the inability of our mind to relax. A stressed mind causes increased production of cortisol – the stress hormone in your blood. This hormone interferes with your sleep. So better avoid excessive mental activity before bed time. You can save it for the next morning.

You can also try valerian root. You can find it in any health food store or Whole Foods. Take 30-60 drops before bed time. It knocks me right out.

you need to get some guanabana leaves , bring 3 leaves to a boil for about 90 seconds., let it cool. Add sugar to taste, and he will have a full nites rest.

if this does not work. You need to get some nyquil, one spoon will do the trick. Mix it into his soda.

Mix a teaspoon each of lemon juice and honey and take it at bed-time. It facilitates sleep. If sleep is disturbed, again take the above mixture and it shall induce sleep.

Eat a high-carbohydrate food before bedtime, such as a slice of bread or some crackers. Eating carbohydrates can significantly increase levels of a neurotransmitter (chemical messenger) called serotonin, which is known to reduce anxiety and promote sleep. So, you may go for a glass of milk (milk contains tryptophan) and a biscuit.
