What is a good sleep remedy for insomnia?

Nyquil, Xanax, Ambian, Tylenol PM, Advil PM, etc…
I know taking sleep aids is not good for you but neither is not sleeping. I've had insomnia for most of my life so I usually try to take something once a week just so my body can rest

tea and bagel. and showers. and it might work for some not for me. or you can count to 1000 or until you get bored or read a boring book. and watching tv makes you sleepy or get on the buss, i always fall asleep on the bus even thow im not sleepy. yah. i used to have sleep problems also.

Short of having someone knock us in the head??? I wish I could answer this question! I've been an insomniac since my early teens….after all sorts of studys, drugs, homeopathic remedies, relaxation….I finally gave up trying to change. Sleep is overrated. now? .. I just sit and answer questions!
By the way, I found out it really is ok …..read Proverbs 20:13

Assuming you are not alone. How about a shower with your sweetie and nice long session of hot sex, and then do it again.

trust me on this one. 5 benadryls a hour before you want to crash. that equals 125 mg of diphenhydramine.

I have problems sleeping myself. I take sleeping pills but I started to depend on them so I started drinking swiss miss hot chocolate with milk then I settle in with a book. Then I am in lala land.
