I wouldn’t call myself an imsoniac but I’m a light sleeper and have a sleep disorder.
Are there any kinds of herbal tea or herbs that will lead me to heavy sleep?
I heard a lavender is good but I want to try something else.
Could you refer me any herbal tea that will be helpful for my light sleeping?

Chamomile and mint (peppermint or spearmint) teas are good for helping you relax.
Look for a tea that has the added ingredient valerian, an herb that is supposed to be good for promoting sleep.
One brand I like is Celestial Seasonings and their tea, Sleepytime Extra. It has mint, chamomile, AND valerian.

A blend of loose chamomille (flowers and leaves) and peppermint (leaves) will work. Boil one half tablespoon of each in about a cup and half of water for 6-8 minutes. You can buy both herbs very cheaply at
My 12 year old son has difficulty sleeping occasssionally due to medication he has to take and this blend works every time and has no contraindictions. Since there is no “tea” in the blend, there is no caffeine. (Tea is a type of plant, this blend is technically an “herbal decoction”).
Valerian (the root) can be harmful in large quantities, but is perfectly safe to add in small quantities if you are drinking only one cup a day.

Make sure your bedroom is quiet and dark. Soak a tablespoon of mint leaves in a cup of water for an hour, drink every night. Check out for more info
